The contractor will be responsible for developing relationships with current and prospective public library customers and promoting Midwest Tape products, Hoopla Digital, and value‑added services.The contractor will independently plan and execute sales activities, manage customer engagement, and present solutions aligned to library needs. This engagement requires strong knowledge of professional sales practices, the public library landscape, and solution‑based selling.Scope of ServicesThe independent contractor will be responsible for the following services and deliverables:Promote and expand Midwest Tape products, Hoopla Digital, and related servicesEngage with library staff at various levels to understand needs and present appropriate solutionsConduct sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions both in person and virtuallyIndependently schedule outreach, appointments, follow‑ups, and business development activitiesManage all logistics related to business travel, including booking and itinerariesAttend assigned conferences, trade shows, and industry eventsTrack opportunities, account activity, and overall sales performanceSubmit agreed‑upon reports, forecasts, and activity summaries in a timely mannerMaintain detailed call, meeting, and opportunity notes in the designated CRM systemRemain informed on competitive offerings, pricing,



and public library industry trendsMeet or exceed agreed‑upon sales targets outlined in the contractor agreementRequired Skills and Professional ExperienceDemonstrated success in outside or field‑based sales engagementsStrong communication and presentation skills in one‑to‑one and group settingsExcellent organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to work independently, set priorities, and manage work autonomouslyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointExperience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)Preferred BackgroundMinimum of 3 years of professional sales experience with account management responsibilityExperience selling to public libraries or within the library, education, or public sector space preferredFamiliarity with digital content platforms, SaaS solutions, or subscription‑based services is an assetTravel RequirementsAbility to travel overnight approximately 40–60% of the time, including occasional weekendsAbility to attend in‑person meetings, conferences, presentations, and training sessionsAbility to travel internationally to the United States as required, including periodic visits to Midwest Tape’s U.S. headquartersA valid passport is required to fulfill the travel requirements of this engagementCompensationCAD $50-$70 per hour, based on experience and agreed‑upon scope of services.This range represents the expected compensation for this contract engagement and may be adjusted based on final contract terms.Contractor Classification NoticeThis role is structured as an independent contractor engagement.
