The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) is hiring School Assistants/Lunch-Time Supervisors to support teaching staff. In this part-time role, you will supervise lunchtime activities and ensure student safety during breaks. Candidates must complete mandatory online health and safety training and participate in school training sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee student behavior during lunch and yard times
• Assist teaching staff with supervision during peak hours
• Complete all required health and safety training
• Attend in-service training for role enhancement
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Requirements:
• Online health and safety training completion required
• Available for lunch supervision between 12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
• Previous experience with children is a plus
• Understanding of equity and inclusion in schools
• Must provide a satisfactory police check
