This PC-02 position requires an in office presence at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre. You will engage in agroecosystem modeling by collecting data, developing simulations, and validating models to support Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's goals. Your expertise in programming with R and Fortran will be central to analyzing results and contributing to publications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and prepare climatic, soil, and agronomic datasets
• Develop and validate agroecosystem simulation models
• Analyze results and assist in preparing scientific publications




• Modify programs or scripts for better simulations
• Contribute to innovative agroecosystem resilience research
Requirements:
• Degree in agronomy, environmental sciences, or related field
• Experience in agroecosystem or environmental modeling
• Proficiency in R programming for modeling
• Familiar with database management and data processing
• Knowledge of nitrogen and carbon cycles in agroecosystems
