Position Overview

Pediatric Urgent Care Inc. is seeking an creative and hands-on AI & Automation Project Specialist to identify, design, build, test, and deploy practical AI and automation solutions across our multi-location healthcare organization.

This is a results-driven role rather than a traditional hourly position. Compensation will be primarily based on the successful completion, deployment, and achievement of predefined project objectives.

The successful candidate should be able to move beyond simply recommending AI ideas. We are looking for someone who can identify operational problems, propose practical solutions, build or coordinate the solution, deploy it successfully, and demonstrate measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities for AI and automation across clinical and administrative operations.
- Develop an ongoing pipeline of AI and automation ideas ranked by potential impact, feasibility, cost and expected return.
- Design, prototype, test and deploy approved solutions.
- Automate repetitive administrative and operational workflows.
- Develop solutions to improve referral intake, processing, tracking and appointment conversion.
- Improve patient scheduling, reminders, communications and no-show management.
- Explore AI-assisted patient communication and website chatbot solutions.
- Develop automated management dashboards, KPI reporting and operational alerts.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows and reduce missed or incomplete billings.




- Automate document processing, forms, internal communications and administrative tasks.
- Explore appropriate integrations between PUC's EMR, website, APIs and third-party platforms.
- Measure the results of each deployed project, including staff hours saved, cost reductions, revenue improvements, patient-access improvements or other agreed KPIs.
- Ensure solutions involving patient or clinical information comply with applicable privacy, security and organizational requirements before deployment.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has practical experience with AI tools, workflow automation, APIs, integrations, databases and platforms such as ChatGPT/OpenAI, Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, Make or comparable technologies.

Healthcare experience is an asset, butdemonstrated ability to successfully build and deploy working automation solutions is more important than formal credentials.

Project & Achievement-Based Compensation

PUC intends to compensate primarily based onsuccessful project achievement and deployment, rather than simply hours worked.

Each approved project will have a written Project Achievement Plan established before development begins, specifying the scope, deliverables, implementation milestones, success criteria and compensation.





Examples of achievement KPIs may include reducing referral-processing time, reducing patient no-shows, increasing successfully booked referrals, reducing administrative hours, identifying billing leakage, automating repetitive staff functions, improving patient response times, or generating measurable cost savings.

Important Compensation Principle

Ideas alone do not constitute completed projects. The greatest portion of compensation will be tied to a functioning solution that is successfully tested and deployed within PUC. Where applicable, an additional performance payment may be earned after the solution demonstrates the predefined measurable outcome.

All projects, deliverables, compensation and success criteria must be approved by PUC in writing before commencement. Deployment involving patient information, clinical workflows, EMR access or other sensitive information requires prior authorization and appropriate privacy/security review.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 2–4 weeks, the successful candidate should have created a portfolio of working, deployed AI and automation solutions that demonstrably improve PUC's efficiency, patient experience, access to care, staff productivity and/or financial performance.

This position is particularly suited to an entrepreneurial AI professional who prefers being rewarded for what they successfully build and achieve—not simply for the number of hours worked.

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
