The Regional District of Nanaimo is looking for a Building Services Worker to support recreation facilities in Electoral Area A. This part time role emphasizes maintenance tasks and cleaning duties. You will play an essential role in the Recreation Services Division by maintaining, cleaning, and preparing various facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities include assisting with minor repairs, being the liaison for service providers, and ensuring all areas of the facilities are clean and functional. This is a temporary union position with 8-16 hours of work per week expected until December 31, 2026. Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure cleanliness across recreation service facilities
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Liaise with service contractors as needed
- Prepare facilities and equipment for various activities
- Support cleaning efforts across all facility areas Requirements:
- High school diploma is necessary
- 1-2 years of job-related experience is preferred
- Must have a Building Services Worker certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is essential
