LN Land Development Technologies is looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Edmonton team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the CAD Technician will support a wide variety of survey, construction, civil, and industrial projects by reviewing field data, completing survey calculations, preparing drawings and models, and providing accurate technical information to our field teams.

If you have strong AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, understand survey data and construction layouts, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Review incoming survey field returns for completeness, accuracy, and quality

- Perform survey calculations for piles, anchor bolts, foundations, civil works, and construction layouts

- Prepare survey plans, construction drawings, and as-built drawings from field notes and raw survey data

- Complete volume calculations and develop detailed 3D models

- Redline, revise, and finalize as-built drawings

- Prepare survey control drawings and field data files for construction layout

- Process and adjust survey data using Trimble Business Center





- Support GNSS data processing and calculations

- Maintain current drawing and IFC databases to support field operations

- Prepare project documentation and quality assurance reports

- Support document control and maintain accurate project records

- Work closely with survey crews, project teams, and operations to resolve technical issues and keep projects moving

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience , preferably within survey, construction, civil, or geomatics environments

- Strong experience with construction drafting and survey calculations

- Post-secondary education in Survey/Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is an asset

- Experience with Trimble Business Center , including processing and adjusting GNSS data

- Previous field surveying experience is an asset

- Strong understanding of construction layouts, survey plans, as-builts, and drafting standards

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities





- Ability to work collaboratively while also being confident working independently

- Proven reliability and a strong work ethic

WORK CONDITIONS

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Edmonton, Alberta .

Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Additional Pay: Overtime pay
