Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Cabinet Shop Labourer to join our production team in Vars, ON. In this role, you will assist our craftspeople and machine operators with day-to-day wood manufacturing tasks, material handling, shop maintenance, and assembly support.

Key Responsibilities

- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stage sheet goods (MDF, plywood) and solid lumber safely around the shop.
- Machine & Shop Support: Assist lead woodworkers and CNC/edgebander operators with feeding materials, catch duties, and part sorting.
- Sanding & Prep Work: Perform manual and orbital sanding on cabinet components, doors, and trim prior to finishing.
- Assembly & Hardware: Assist with basic cabinet box assembly, hardware installation (hinges, drawer slides), and packaging finished units for delivery.
- Shop Upkeep: Maintain a clean and safe working setting by sweeping work areas, managing offcuts/scrap,



and emptying dust collection systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or manual labor is an asset (willing to train the right candidate).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable transportation to the shop in Vars, Ontario.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required PPE.

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
