Westgrove Clinic is looking to hire a full time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to support in a very busy family care clinic. We are a large family medicine clinic with a multiple disciplinary team of nurses and pharmacists. If you like the day to go fast, this is the place for you.
Westgrove Clinic is in Spruce Grove, located 15minutes west of Edmonton. The ideal candidate will have obtained a medical office diploma/certificate from a recognized educational institution, and have at minimum 2 years’ experience working in a medical office, preferable family medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate use of our electronic medical records (EMR) (Accuro is an asset)
- Maintain accurate patient files
- Sanitize exam rooms
- Stock exam rooms
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Obtain patient height, weight, blood pressure, ECG and temperature as needed
- Set up rooms for procedures such as removals, IUD's, Endometrial biopsies, pap tests, dressing changes, injections, etc. as needed
- Sterilization of equipment
- Order medical supplies
- Chaperone sensitive appointments
- Qualifications:
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma / Certificate
- 2 year experience working in a medical office, mandatory
- Knowledge in the use of EMR is an asset
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Commitment to client service and confidentiality with a positive and professional approach
- Adaptable to change and willing to learn new tasks on a regular basis
- Compensation:
Compensation will be based on previous experience and education.
