Accounting Manager / Controller

GetGoing is looking for an experienced, proactive Accounting Manager / Controller to take ownership of the financial side of our growing automotive businesses.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes clean numbers, better systems, and working directly with ownership — not just producing reports and disappearing into spreadsheets.

About GetGoing

We operate two main businesses from Langley, BC:

Automotive Marketing

We provide digital marketing and lead-generation services to 100+ dealerships across Canada, with significant advertising spend across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other platforms.

Vehicle Sales

We also operate our own licensed dealership, buying, inventorying, financing, and selling vehicles directly to consumers.

That means our accounting includes everything from normal corporate accounting and payroll to vehicle inventory, deal reconciliations, commissions, lender transactions, advertising spend, and multiple business entities.

What You'll Do

You'll oversee the day-to-day accounting and help ownership maintain a clear picture of the business.

Key responsibilities include

- Own AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain accurate books across multiple companies
- Oversee dealership accounting, including vehicle purchases, sales, inventory, trade-ins, lender payouts, and deal reconciliations
- Manage payroll and sales commissions
- Monitor cash flow, banking, credit facilities, and receivables
- Reconcile and track significant digital advertising spend
- Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Work directly with ownership on business decisions




- Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, banks, and lenders
- Find ways to automate and simplify repetitive accounting work

What We're Looking For

You know your way around the numbers, but you also understand the business behind them.

Ideally, you have:

- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar experience
- Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience with payroll, commissions, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently and directly with ownership
- Experience with QuickBooks and modern cloud-based software

CPA designation is preferred, but not required.

Automotive dealership, marketing agency, fintech, or multi-entity accounting experience is a strong asset.

Competitive hourly or salary compensation based on experience and the scope of the role.
