This permanent, full time chance is based in Calgary or Edmonton with extensive on-call responsibilities. In this key role, you will assist the Executive Director by providing expert legal counsel and operational support, contributing significantly to high-stakes investigations within Alberta.

Your legal advice will guide decision-making processes and ensure that ASIRT adheres to legal and ethical standards while serving public safety. Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced legal support for ASIRT investigations
Advise on criminal law and evidence protocols
Analyze cases for Crown prosecution preparation
Develop investigative legal frameworks and procedures
Liaise with legal stakeholders to align interpretations

Requirements:
Relevant law degree; admission to Alberta Law Society
Over eight years in criminal law practice
Expertise in criminal investigative techniques
Proven skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
Exceptional judgment and analytical skills
