Shape sustainable water management practices as a Water Quality Management Specialist with the City of Edmonton. Focus on environmental compliance to protect local water ecosystems in a hybrid setup. With a degree in Environmental Sciences and a minimum of six years' experience, you’ll be responsible for managing groundwater and surface water across various municipal waste facilities.
This role will involve leading site remediation initiatives while supervising a skilled sampling team and collaborating with various stakeholders in compliance and environmental initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage groundwater, surface water, and leachate quality
- Lead engineering management for contaminated site remediation
- Direct supervision of the EWMC Sampling Group
- Review extensive networks for environmental monitoring
- Support environmental initiatives and project management Requirements:
- Bachelor's or two-year diploma in Environmental Sciences
- Minimum six to eight years of relevant experience
- Background in environmental monitoring and project management
- Leadership abilities and robust interpersonal skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and compliance with safety standards Contribute to a cleaner city through leadership in environmental projects and compliance at the City of Edmonton.
