The External Associates support the mentor-facing and alumni-facing side of the Executive Mentorship Program, assisting with mentor recruitment, alumni relationship management, and mentor engagement throughout the year alongside the VP Externals.

Time Commitment5–7 hours per week during regular program periods; 8–10 hours per week during mentor recruitment and the April Gala.
Terms of Employment October 2026 — April 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Support mentor recruitment across returning and new alumni mentors
- Communicating and managing relationships with companies to secure monetary and non-monetary funding
- Assist with the day-to-day relationship with the Sauder Alumni & Engagement Office
- Support mentor communications throughout the program
- Help coordinate mentor appreciation and recognition initiatives
- Maintain and update the mentor database and pipeline
- Support sponsorship and external outreach where relevant
Qualifications
- Skilled written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable networking with alumni and industry professionals
- Reliable, organized, and self-directed
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfort with email outreach, tracking systems, and follow-ups
- Experience in sponsorship outreach
