Join Stantec as a Geological/Geotechnical Drilling Monitor, working on field projects with a 14/7 rotation. Engage in monitoring drilling operations while ensuring effective geotechnical practices. Based out of Calgary, this role involves independently monitoring drilling rigs and supporting geotechnical assessments.
You'll perform necessary tests and detailed logging while adhering closely to project specifications and the Unified Soil Classification System. Your contributions will drive the success of drilling programs in varying conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Sonic/Mud Rotary/Dual Rotary drilling rigs
- Execute geotechnical testing and installations
- Document borehole logs as per project specifications
- Meet all borehole information requirements
- Safely transport collected samples to proper locations Requirements:
- Background in geotechnical monitoring and testing
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts outdoors
- Familiarity with borehole logging practices
- Driver’s license for heavy equipment areas
