Please visit the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) for details.ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train and evaluate the physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistant as necessary, including work assignments, disciplinary procedures,
and performance evaluationAssess clients with physiotherapy‑related concerns such as decreased mobility, transfer concerns, range of motion, strength, balance, pain controlDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical records, observation, or referral; confer with interdisciplinary staff regarding an overall treatment plan for clientsProvide treatment services for clients using physiotherapy techniques or modalities, such as hydrocollator, wax bath, TENs, etc.Evaluate the progress of clients in relation to physiotherapy treatment provided through use of tests and observation; confer with nursing staff and physicians regarding effectiveness of treatmentInstruct clients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, and prosthetic devicesMaintain an inventory of physiotherapy equipment and suppliesPrepare progress reports, funding requests, and statistical reports relating to physiotherapy treatment program and client needs, and maintain treatment records as requiredTrain staff on back care, lifts and transfers and other relevant topicsEnsure client safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training providedQualificationsMaster of Science in PhysiotherapyCurrent registration with the provincial College of PhysiotherapistsMinimum of two years clinical experience; previous experience in rehabilitation and geriatrics preferredPrevious supervisory experiencePrevious experience working in long‑term careWillingness to travel within the region; travel costs compensated per kilometerA passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care#J-18808-Ljbffr
