The Specific terms of employment include:
Establishing a report with students
Model appropriate behavior and reactions to events
Work as a part of the professional team to ensure a protected and respectful environment for everyone
Assist students with routine, this may involve creating visual schedules, giving reminders in order for transitions to move smoother
Implement programs as prepared by speech language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other professionals
Assist with program support when directed and monitored by teaching staffAssist students in completing assigned classroom activities/work or catching up on work missed
Encourage students to respect the classroom expectations as well as the outside expectations
Model and encourage respect for self and others
Record data and observations as requested
Provide supervision for students
Be flexible with your workday
Qualifications:
Clear Criminal, Child Abuse and Vulnerable Sector check
Minimum two year diploma in education or support work
Pay: $44,200.00-$48,048.00 per year
