Our Ideal Candidate

- Is reliable, punctual, and hardworking, with a strong commitment to performing quality work safely and efficiently.
- Enjoys hands-on work and is comfortable performing a variety of physical and operational tasks in an industrial workplace.
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools, equipment,



refrigeration components, containers, and gensets.
- Is comfortable working outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
- Is adaptable and willing to support different areas of the operation as priorities and workload change.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Wash, pressure-wash and steam-clean the interior and exterior of shipping and refrigerated containers using designated equipment and cleaning products.
- Inspect containers for cleanliness, visible damage and deficiencies, and prepare them for inspection, repair, storage or customer delivery.
- Perform basic container and equipment maintenance, including cleaning, painting, touch-ups, adjustments, patching, sealing and other minor non-structural repairs as required.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to safely move, load, unload and position containers, gensets, refrigeration units, equipment and materials throughout the yard and designated work areas.
- Perform other general yard, equipment and operational support duties as required to support safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain washing, fueling, storage, work and yard areas in a clean, safe and organized condition,



and properly handle and dispose of waste, debris and cleaning materials.
- Comply with occupational health and safety procedures as well as operational requirements related to container terminal activities
- Be available to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good physical condition and the ability to perform manual and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and use various work tools.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and handle loads weighing up to 50 lb (23 kg).
- Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain the required internal authorization before operating the equipment.
- Experience in material handling, an industrial setting, transportation or a similar environment is an asset.
- Availability to work overtime when required to meet operational needs.
- Training will be provided on the duties and equipment specific to the position.
