Description

The Role:
- Deliver engaging instruction in both in-person and online settings for students in the Medical Office Assistant program.
- Assess student progress through assignments, skills labs, and competency-based evaluations.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning setting that supports student engagement.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to help students build confidence, professionalism, and workplace-ready skills.
- Offer timely, constructive feedback and respond to student questions with clarity and support.
- Ensure students meet course objectives and develop the essential knowledge and skills required for success in the field.
- Adapt instructional approaches based on student progress, learning needs, and course outcomes.
- Encourage active participation in coursework, discussions, and all aspects of the learning process.
- Collaborate with faculty and contribute feedback to support ongoing program improvement.
- Use technology and online learning platforms to enhance instruction,
communication, and student engagement.
- Provide students with educational support, study strategies, and guidance to promote academic success.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Medical Office Assistance, Health Care Administration, Medical Administration, or a related field.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet students’ needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous teaching or training experience (online teaching experience is a strong asset).
- Relevant experience in medical office administration, health care administration, clinical settings, or a related professional environment is preferred.
- Experience using Moodle, Teams, or other online learning platforms is an asset.
- Familiarity with HealthQuest or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is an asset.
