Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Safety and Environmental Coordinator to elevate our health and safety programs. Focus on compliance, training, and employee engagement in safety practices.

As part of our cutting-edge team, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager, assisting in the development of strong Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental initiatives. You'll conduct safety training, job hazard assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring everyone at the plant adheres to regulatory standards. Your commitment will help maintain a safe workplace for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enhance visibility on the production floor to promote safety
• Facilitate training sessions on health and safety




• Analyze jobs to create effective safety procedures
• Investigate incidents with departments to find root causes
• Manage environmental compliance and develop reports

Requirements:
• Grade 12, with a preference for post-secondary education
• At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing context
• Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
