CHEO is seeking a Clinical Psychologist for its Eating Disorders Program in Ottawa. This role focuses on providing assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and youth facing severe eating disorders.As a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, you will passionately support the mental health of young patients. Responsibilities span from psychodiagnostic assessments to various therapy modalities like Family Based Therapy (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Additionally, you will engage in team rounds, case planning, and clinical research to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to program effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychodiagnostic and psychological assessments
Deliver therapeutic interventions using Family Based Therapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy
Consult with multidisciplinary pediatric health-care professionals
Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and case planning
Engage in training Psychology residents and studentsRequirements:
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from accredited program
Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
Experience with children and youth with severe eating disorders
Proven skills in group and family therapy
