ABOUT THE JOB
The Opportunity:
As a Nurse at Pine Grove Correctional Centre, you will play a front-line role within the Health Services team, reporting to the Nurse Manager. You will be responsible to provide care that is secure, efficient, high-quality, and aligned with provincial standards and direction.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess and address physical and mental health needs, including conducting risk assessments and crisis interventions to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Provide prompt and appropriate responses to medical and psychiatric emergencies, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Identify and evaluate potential safety risks to oneself and others, taking proactive and preventive measures to mitigate harm.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting both physical and mental health status.
- Promote preventative health measures and healthy lifestyle choices to support overall well-being.
- Establish and sustain professional, respectful relationships with a diverse client base, fostering trust and effective communication.
