Deliver impactful nursing services as a Home Care Nurse with the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council, based in Tofino. This position focuses on health promotion and disease prevention for Indigenous populations across coastal regions. Join a team dedicated to providing culturally-responsive nursing care in a casual, on-call capacity. You will serve a vital role in conducting immunization clinics and offering education on chronic disease management.
Responsibilities also include building community partnerships to tackle health challenges, making a real difference in local populations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and health education
- Lead prenatal and breastfeeding support initiatives
- Conduct immunization clinics and health workshops
- Collaborate with local partners to enhance health services
- Understand community health determinants and population needs Requirements:
- Active RN license with BC College of Nurses
- Experience working with Indigenous communities is advantageous
- Knowledge of health records management systems preferred
- Valid BC Driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel
