Vernon Spider Control is growing beyond pest control.

We are looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our team as a Home Services Technician.

Pest control will be the main part of the job, but we are building our company into a broader home-services business. As we continue to grow, our technicians will have the opportunity to learn and perform a variety of services that help our customers maintain, protect, and improve their homes.

Our services currently include

- Residential pest control
- Roof moss treatment and removal
- Gutter cleaning
- Window cleaning
- Driveway sealing
- Various other home and property services

We also believe that if a customer trusts us with their home, we should be willing to help whenever we can. That means the job won't always fit neatly into a box. As we expand, new services and opportunities will continue to be added.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibility will be assisting with and eventually performing residential pest-control services. This includes things such as:

- Removing spider webs, nests, and other pest-related buildup
- Assisting with pest-control treatments and equipment
- Inspecting homes and properties for signs of pests
- Identifying potential pest-entry points and problem areas
- Performing seasonal home-maintenance services
- Working on roofs, gutters, windows, driveways, and other residential projects
- Maintaining equipment and keeping work areas clean and organized
- Providing friendly, professional service to homeowners
- Helping with new services as our company continues to expand

- Is comfortable working outdoors and around residential properties
- Is physically capable of performing the work required
- Is comfortable working at heights when properly trained and equipped
- Communicates well with customers
- Pays attention to detail
- Is willing to learn recent skills
- Isn't afraid to jump in and help wherever needed

Experience in pest control or home services is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Position: Home Services Technician

Wage: $20.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and ability

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Requirements

- Class 5 driver's licence required
- English required
- Secondary school preferred
- French not required
