Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR administration, including employee records, documentation, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel files.
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interviews, reference checks, and new employee onboarding.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Manage attendance records, vacation requests, employee documentation, and other HR-related administrative processes.
- Coordinate and oversee immigration processes for foreign workers, including work permits, extensions, supporting documentation, and related government requirements.
- Coordonate trainings of the employees in the plant and in the office.
- Support payroll and benefits administration by providing accurate employee information and assisting with related inquiries.
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations as required.
- Coordinate office administration, supplies, service providers, and other general office activities.
- Prepare HR reports,
maintain HR databases, and ensure employee information is accurate and confidential.
- Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with applicable Ontario employment legislation and company policies.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing immigration processes and work permits is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Ontario employment standards and other applicable employment legislation.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
