Tidal Electrical is a growing electrical contracting company based in British Columbia. Established in 2021, we have experienced significant growth over the past several years by building strong client relationships, delivering quality workmanship, and investing in the people who make our success possible.

We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team full-time. Our work is based primarily at YVR Airport, with projects throughout the Lower Mainland and surrounding areas.

Position Overview The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installations, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and related construction work under the direction of the Electrical Foreman.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently when required while also working effectively as part of a crew. You will be expected to complete work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while following project drawings, specifications, electrical code, and company procedures.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, industrial, institutional, and airport-related electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Install and terminate electrical equipment, panels, devices, wiring, conduit, cable tray, and related electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Perform rough-in, finishing, and installation work according to project requirements.




- Complete electrical work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable regulations.
- Identify and communicate installation issues, deficiencies, and material requirements to the Foreman.
- Work cooperatively with Foremen, Journeymen, Apprentices, other trades, and site personnel.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Complete required timesheets, safety documentation, and other job-site paperwork.
- Assist Apprentices and junior electricians with day-to-day work and provide guidance when required.
- Represent Tidal Electrical professionally while working on client and construction sites.
- Perform other electrical duties as required by the Foreman or project team.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification.
- Previous experience working as a Journeyman Electrician in a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, or airport electrical projects is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a skilled attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to pass any required airport/site security clearance or background checks.




- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
