Champion First Nations justice initiatives as a Justice Analyst with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN). This full time position emphasizes collaboration, research, and policy innovation. In the role of Justice Analyst, you will research and analyze critical information impacting First Nations' justice frameworks.
Your contributions will directly influence policy recommendations aimed at enhancing community safety, restorative practices, and legal reforms. Facilitate meaningful conversations with First Nations communities to ensure diverse voices are heard. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex justice-sector information and report findings
- Support First Nations justice policy development and implementation
- Maintain and curate justice-related datasets and resources
- Engage with stakeholders to promote collaborative justice solutions
- Provide project management support for justice initiatives Requirements:
- Degree in political science, law, or related field
- At least 5 years’ policy analysis experience
- Experience in drafting proposals and reports
- Strong relationship-building abilities with First Nations
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills Contribute to the advancement of justice systems aligned with First Nations needs and values.
