Absinthe Bistro is a French neighbourhood bistro on Commercial Drive, and we’re looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated person to join our kitchen team.

If you enjoy working with food, like staying busy, and want to learn how a professional restaurant kitchen works, this could be a great opportunity for you.

You don't need years of experience — kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person. We’re looking for someone with a great attitude, energy, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Helping with daily food preparation
- Washing, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients
- Assisting our cooks during service
- Helping with plating and simple kitchen tasks
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized
- Restocking ingredients and supplies
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Following food safety and cleanliness standards
- Working together with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly

Job Type: Full time Wednesday to Sunday

Location: Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC

Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
