Our tourist population is much larger in the summer when people take advantage of our lakes and rivers or visit the world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park.Acute care hospitalist (24hrs x 7 days)Monday at 8am to following MondayCaseload – average of 15-18 (can be higher if desired) attached and orphaned patientsAdmissions – every 3rd patient (Mon-Fri); every other patient (Sat/Sun)OR assist – every other patient or by negotiation with hospitalist partner (Sat/Sun only)Remuneration: $650/day (Mon-Fri) + $750/day (Sat/Sun) = $4750/week + FFSAcute care hospitalist (24 hrs x 5 days)Monday at 8am to Friday at 5pm (or when rounding is completed)Caseload – average of 15-18 (can be higher if desired) attached and orphaned patientsAdmissions – every 3rd patientRenumeration: $650/day (Mon-Fri) = $3250 + FFSALC hospitalist (24 hrs x 5 days)Monday at 8am to Friday at 5pmCaseload – 15-20No admissions – patients are transferred from acute to ALC in discussion with acute care hospitalistsPatients do not require daily visits – involves rounding typically at least once per patient per weekManaging acute issues and assisting with discharge plansPatients can be transferred back to acute care hospitalist if they become acutely unwellRemuneration: $250/d (Mon-Fri)
