The successful candidate will manage files with increasing independence, work closely with experienced employment lawyers, and receive meaningful client exposure and advocacy opportunities.Key Responsibilities
Manage plaintiff-side employment law matters from initial consultation through resolutionAdvise employees on wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, workplace harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and human rights mattersReview employment agreements, termination packages, workplace policies, and settlement offersDraft demand letters, pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal materialsRepresent clients at discoveries, mediations, motions, hearings,



and other court or tribunal appearancesConduct legal research and prepare opinions on employment and workplace issuesParticipate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolutionMaintain solid client relationships while providing practical and strategic adviceWork collaboratively with senior lawyers and other members of the litigation teamQualifications
3–4 years of employment law or related litigation experienceMember in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioStrong interest in plaintiff-side employment lawExperience managing litigation files with increasing independenceCourtroom, tribunal, mediation, or other advocacy experienceStrong drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and analytical skillsExcellent judgment and the ability to manage sensitive client matters professionallyStrong interpersonal and client-service skillsHighly organized and comfortable managing multiple active filesThe Prospect
