Become a vital part of our on-site team as a Child and Youth Worker. This role emphasizes creating engaging programs that support children's overall development in a group home or child care center.
Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of direct experience, focusing on children with special needs. You will lead various activities, inspire creativity, and maintain a safe environment that promotes well-being. Building relationships with colleagues and community providers is critical to enable effective programming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute child-care programs tailored to individual needs
• Conduct storytelling and teach music to children
• Encourage creative expression in various forms
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment
• Collaborate with others to support child welfare
Requirements:
• Completed trades certificate or diploma
• 1-2 years relevant experience
• Certification in Emergency child care first aid and CPR
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification
• Transparent criminal background check
