Empower Black students to achieve graduation as the Simcoe County District School Board's Graduation Coach. This itinerant role emphasizes equity and culturally responsive strategies in education.

This full-time temporary position involves working closely with Black students in various schools to support their academic journeys. You will collaborate with school staff and community organizations to develop meaningful interventions that address individual and collective challenges. Your role will also require monitoring student progress and fostering relationships that promote a sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities:



• Identify needs and create solutions in collaboration with staff • Monitor student progress and gather feedback for program improvement • Raise awareness of support programs for Black students • Coordinate cultural support services within the community • Develop trusting relationships with students and families

Requirements: • Degree in relevant fields such as Education or Counseling • Minimum five years of experience working with Black youth • Deep knowledge of systemic issues affecting education • Solid organizational and communication skills • Must have a valid driver’s license for travel
