Join Options Community Services as a Children's Activity Worker and immerse yourself in impactful recreational programming for kids. This role focuses on fostering social and educational growth in Surrey's inner-city children and families.
This energetic position under the S.T.A.R.R. program offers a chance to make a real difference in the community. You will collaborate with the Program Manager to design and supervise activities tailored to children aged 6 to 13 years. Building robust relationships with families while ensuring children's well-being is critical every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and organize recreational activities for children
Supervise and support program participation during sessions
Assess children's needs and model appropriate behavior
Liaise with community agencies and specialists
Document and evaluate children's emotional and physical well-being
Requirements:
Diploma in social services or related field
Minimum one year of experience in recreation or education
Valid Class 5 BC driver's license required
Current Level I First Aid certificate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
