The Opportunity

We are seeking a Material Logistics Coordinator to lead the coordination of materials, inventory and logistics activities, supporting critical operations in Fort St. John and our workshop in New Zealand. You will ensure parts, materials and shipments are available where needed to support production and project delivery.

This role is central to keeping production moving. You will own time-critical domestic and international shipments, maintain visibility of inventory and material status, and work closely with the Technical Materials Specialist, Production, Engineering, Project Managers to proactively identify and resolve material-related constraints.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and coordinate critical domestic and international material shipments
- Manage international freight movements between Canada and New Zealand
- Liaise directly with freight brokers, suppliers, customs and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and continuously improve inventory control tools
- Identify and resolve material-related production holds in collaboration with Production
- Coordinate kitting and material readiness for planned work scopes
- Track parts sent for repair or in transit and provide clear, regular status updates
- Participate in weekly production meetings and provide material status reporting
- Identify long-term material or supply chain risks and assist with mitigation strategies
- Perform system transactions and reporting using Xero, Excel, and Microsoft 365

About You

You are highly organised, proactive, and enjoy keeping work moving in a fast-paced operational environment. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Working across production, project, engineering, and technical teams, you focus on solving problems, preventing delays, and ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed.

You’ll need

- Mid-level experience in materials coordination, logistics, or supply chain roles
- Demonstrated experience managing international shipments and freight
- Experience coordinating time-critical and high-value shipments




- Experience coordinating across multiple locations or time zones
- Strong inventory management and tracking capability
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational, time-management, and prioritisation skills
- Strong communication with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to take ownership and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Excel

Desirable:
- Industrial, energy, manufacturing, or heavy equipment background
- Logistics or supply chain certifications
- Experience improving inventory control processes

This role works in partnership with our Technical Materials Specialist, who supports technical parts identification and specification activities. The Material Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring approved materials are accurately tracked, available, and moved efficiently through the supply chain. Terms of employment: Full time

Salary range: $70,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience
