In-home caregiver – private home – JoFe… family

NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home child care provider

Terms of employment: This job is for a full time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job starts as soon as possible.

Language requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour.

Location: DeRa… lives in westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Sherbrooke St. O, and Decarie blvd.

Duties

- Help with the care of young children.
- Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments.
- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
- Prepare and cook nutritious snacks and meals for the children,



and help to feed them until they are able to feed themselves.
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Bathe children and change diapers as needed.
- General housework, including doing laundry and some ironing.
- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications

- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and capable of managing the job without supervision.
