Join our vibrant team as a Nursery Labourer and play a vital role in cultivating beautiful, healthy plants and maintaining a thriving nursery environment. We are looking for skilled individuals who can grow plants and flowers, and turn them into beautiful decorative baskets. You will be involved in various hands-on tasks that keep the nursery running smoothly, ensuring our plants are nurtured and our facilities are well-maintained.

Responsibilities

- Grow plugs into 606 flats
- Craft decorative baskets using grown plants
- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas
- Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination
- Greenhouse cleaning
- Harvest seedlings
- Mixing fertilizer
- Seed cutting
- Tie and secure plants
- Weeding
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants
- Mix and prepare soils
- Plant bulbs and seeds
- Pot and re-pot plants




- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Apply fertilizers
- Report signs of insect or disease damage
- Assist in grafting activities
- Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
- Clean work area

Experience

- Growing bedding plants (perennials and annuals)
- Growing shrubs and trees
- Mixing soil
- Creating decorative baskets and pots using grown plants

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:
