About the Role

Gemstone Travel is seeking an experienced travel specialist to support corporate and workforce travel operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands airline reservations, ticketing workflows, itinerary management, and travel disruption support. The successful candidate will coordinate travel arrangements, manage changes, maintain accurate records, and provide dependable service to travellers and clients.

What You'll Do

- Book, modify, and cancel airline reservations using GDS and online booking tools.
- Arrange hotels, vehicle rentals, and other travel services.
- Issue and distribute accurate travel itineraries.
- Assist with ticketing, exchanges, unused ticket credits, and schedule changes within assigned authority.
- Support travellers during delays, cancellations, and other irregular operations (IRROPS).
- Coordinate workforce travel requirements and roster-driven changes.
- Maintain traveller profiles, booking records, project coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate professionally with airlines, travel suppliers, corporate clients, and travellers.
- Follow client travel policies, documented procedures, confidentiality requirements, and escalation processes.

Required Qualifications

- Previous experience in a travel agency, corporate travel, airline reservations, or a closely related travel environment.
- Working knowledge of a major GDS. Amadeus experience is preferred; experience with Sabre or another major GDS will be considered.
- Practical airline ticketing experience or direct exposure to ticketing processes, including fares, exchanges, and credits.
- Understanding of airline reservation workflows, fare rules, and schedule changes.




- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive requests and remain calm during disruptions.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and approval limits.

Preferred Experience

- Corporate or workforce travel experience.
- Experience coordinating crew rotations, workforce logistics, or roster-driven travel.
- Experience supporting mining, energy, construction, or industrial clients.
- Familiarity with traveller profile management, travel reporting, and client policy compliance.
- Experience resolving flight disruptions and re-protecting travellers during IROPS.

Hours and Work Arrangement

- Part-time
- Additional hours may be available during peak travel periods or operational disruptions.
- This is not a commission based sales role.
