As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, delivering exceptional customer service across multiple channels—including in person, by phone, and via email. You will support clients with a wide range of insurance-related needs, such as making policy changes ,answering coverage questions, comparing and shopping policies, guiding clients through the claims process, advocating on behalf of clients when needed.

Responsibilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Client Service

- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to clients.
- Respond to routine client inquiries regarding policies, billing, and coverage
- Advocate on the client’s behalf as required.

2. Client Retention and Renewal Support

- Retain and strengthen client relationships through ongoing policy reviews, proactive renewal support, and responsive service.
- Identify coverage gaps and provide service-driven recommendations to enhance protection through cross-selling, bundling, and coverage optimization.

3. Claims Support

- Provide claims counselling to clients on an ongoing basis.

4. Operational Excellence

- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Follow brokerage procedures, insurer requirements, and compliance standards.
- Use brokerage management systems, customer relationship management tools,
- and Microsoft Office products efficiently.
- Develop a strong understanding of personal insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
- Participate actively in training programs, coaching sessions, and team meetings.




- Work toward obtaining professional designations and industry certifications.

Qualifications

Education

- Post-secondary education, or equivalent experience, is preferred

Experience

- Three to five years of personal insurance experience is preferred.

Professional Credentials

- Level 1 General Insurance License is required
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) Or Charted Insurance Professional (CIP) Designation or working toward either designation is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong understanding of personal insurance products, coverage, and settlement practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to explain insurance products and coverage in clear, accessible language.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple service inquiries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and brokerage management systems.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation

Salary To be negotiated based on education, experience and qualifications.
