Position
Summary
The Pork Cut Production
Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating pork
cutting operations on the production floor. The foreman oversees
the setup, operation, and sanitation of packaging equipment,
monitors product quality throughout the packaging process, and
ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP,
and all relevant food safety
protocols
Key
Responsibilities
Supervise daily pork cutting
operations.
Enforce compliance with Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and company food safety
protocols.
Monitor and delegate assembly,
operation, and sanitation of meat processing
equipment.
Ensure all products meet established
quality standards by conducting regular checks and maintaining
accurate production records.
Identify and
resolve process issues, make necessary equipment adjustments and
report unresolved problems to
supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and
safe work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety
regulations.
Communicate effectively with team
members and other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve
issues.
Provide relief for line staff during




breaks as needed and implement contingency procedures to maintain
production
flow.
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent;
post-secondary education in meat processing or related field
preferred.
At least 2 years
of experience in meat/pork processing
plants.
Previous supervisory or lead experience
in a meat production environment
preferred.
Solid knowledge of pork cuts,
trimming, deboning, and portioning
techniques.
Familiarity with food safety
regulations (HACCP, GMP) and workplace safety
standards.
Ability to operate and oversee the
use of knives, saws, and other meat processing
equipment.
Good organizational, communication,
and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and
able to work in cold, wet environments with heavy lifting as
required.
Willingness to work flexible hours
and overtime as needed to meet Preferred
Qualifications
Bilingual
(asset).
Experience with continuous improvement
or lean manufacturing processes.
