The Stop Community Food Centre seeks a skilled Relief Chef with values that align with our mission. You will prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals for up to 200 people daily, inspiring and leading volunteers during food prep and service. This role also emphasizes kitchen organization and adherence to hygiene practices across our vibrant locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals from scratch for 200 people per shift
• Support and inspire kitchen volunteers during service
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and protected food handling
• Oversee menu adjustments based on available ingredients
• Ensure inclusive service aligned with our policies
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year culinary experience
• Food Handler's Certification and CPR/First Aid
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Effective communication and mentoring abilities
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy environment
