Our Supply Chain and Site Services division have a Civil Maintainer II opportunity.
The Civil Maintainer II plays a critical role in supporting a secure, clean, and efficient station environment by performing a broad range of maintenance, decontamination, waste management, custodial, and equipment operation activities. This position contributes to the successful operation of the site by maintaining facilities, supporting radiological protection programs, managing radioactive waste processes, and ensuring site grounds, equipment, and work areas are maintained to high standards.

What will you be responsible for? Decontamination of floors, tools, equipment and vehicles
Set up and maintenance of Contamination Control Areas
Collection,
monitoring, segregation, packaging and shipping of radioactive waste
Processing of radioactive waste
Operation of portable tools and equipment, e.g. Lawn mowers, snow blowers, floor polishers/scrubbers/buffers, vacuum cleaners
Material handling, inventory control, and stockkeeping
Operation of transport and work equipment, e.g., front end loaders, graders, forklifts, backhoes, trucks, vans, tractors, picker, swing reach
Landscaping and grounds maintenance
Perform general custodial activities
Knowledge and Skills Experience completing custodial work in an industrial setting is considered an asset.
Experience in a Warehouse or Stockkeeping environment is considered an asset.
Experience operating portable tools and equipment is considered an asset.
Experience operating transport and work equipment is considered an asset.
Experience working with software for ordering, tracking, and managing inventory is considered an asset.
Education and Experience Candidates must have successfully completed Grade 12 and received an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (GED) as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Candidates must be capable and willing, to successfully complete all training requirements of the position including,
nuclear "Yellow/Green" qualification in radiation protection. Candidates must qualify as a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW).
The successful candidate will be selected based on related and required education, experience, knowledge and skills, a competency-based interview, and background reference checks.
