Join School District 71 as a Temporary Online Learning Counsellor, working with Grades 10-12 students. This position focuses on mental health and educational transitions with a 0.50 FTE commitment.

As an Online Counsellor, your mission is to support students' mental health online and in person, providing valuable resources and guidance. You'll develop IEPs and set up proactive behavior plans while coordinating with community partners for job readiness programs. This role also includes preparing students for graduation and connecting them to post-secondary options.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead online and in-person classes on mental health strategies
• Assist with school-to-community transitions for students
• Provide crisis support and referrals to families




• Manage bursary and scholarship information for students
• Support school-based team meetings for Grades 10-12

Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in educational counseling or a related field
• Experience counseling secondary level students
• Familiarity with online learning platforms like Brightspace
• Background in adult education
• Proven support for adults in graduation pathways
