Shape volunteer engagement initiatives at Distress Centre Calgary as a part time Volunteer Program Coordinator. Coordinate recruitment and manage HR operations to support our mission-driven team.

In this role, you will work on-site 24 hours per week, primarily on weekdays, with occasional evenings. Collaborating with the Director and People & Culture Partner, you will leverage your past experience in volunteer program coordination to create engaging and effective recruitment strategies that bolster community support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build volunteer involvement in under-represented departments
• Manage volunteer sourcing, onboarding, and role matching
• Recommend improvements to volunteer program processes
• Assist with the complete employee lifecycle in recruitment




• Maintain accurate volunteer and staff records and address concerns

Requirements:
• Diploma in human resources or social sciences
• 2-4 years of experience in recruitment and administrative settings
• Proven volunteer program development experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for record-keeping

Your expertise in volunteer management and staff support will play a crucial role in enhancing the infrastructure at Distress Centre Calgary.
