The Community Recreation Branch is seeking a Pottery Visual Arts Instructor for part time sessions in North York, Toronto. Engage diverse age groups by teaching and inspiring creativity.
This temporary position involves planning and delivering artistic programs for various ages. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated teaching ability, artistic skills, and leadership experience. You'll prepare lesson plans and ensure all necessary supplies are available and clean, while also training assistant instructors and adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and organize pottery program sessions for different ages
• Prepare detailed lesson plans based on curriculum
• Ensure supplies and equipment are ready for each class
• Train and evaluate assistant instructors or volunteers
• Perform necessary administrative tasks for program support
Requirements:
• Minimum 16 years of age
• Proven ability to teach and demonstrate artistic skills
• Leadership training or relevant volunteer experience
• Current Emergency First Aid certification
• Certification in Healthy Child Development principles
