About the Role: Assistant Manager – Food Services
As Assistant Manager , your day‑to‑day will span both operational and people management responsibilities. You'll analyze budgets , monitor revenues , and evaluate daily operations to help maintain and improve the restaurant's profitability. From opening shifts to weekend coverage, you'll be expected to plan and organize the team's work across a variety of scheduling windows including early mornings, evenings, and nights.

Equally important is your role as a team leader . You'll recruit, train, and supervise staff while ensuring that health and safety regulations are met at all times. Handling customer concerns professionally and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere are also central to the position. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential in this physically demanding, high‑volume environment.

This position offers a wage of $27.69 per hour for a 40‑hour work week on a permanent full‑time basis. Responsibilities
This role covers a wide range of management duties across both operations and people leadership. As Assistant Manager , you'll be responsible for keeping the restaurant running efficiently, profitably, and in full compliance with regulations — all while supporting and developing a team of 16 to 20 employees.

Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits

Evaluate daily operations and monitor revenues to determine labour costs

Plan and organize daily operations across all scheduled shifts

Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 16–20 staff members

Set staff work schedules and monitor ongoing staff performance





Organize and maintain inventory to support uninterrupted service

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times

Address customer complaints and provide consistent, quality customer service

Use MS Office and point of sale systems to support operational reporting and transactions

Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings a combination of leadership experience , strong communication skills , and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Education: College, CEGEP, or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a 1–2 year program, or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a relevant supervisory or food services role

Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Office and point of sale systems

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Personal attributes: Accurate, organized, reliable, flexible, and a strong team player with the ability to multitask

Physical capacity: Ability to work in a quick‑paced, physically demanding environment involving standing for extended periods and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
