The Métis National Council is seeking a Policy Advisor for Legislative Affairs, with a focus on intergovernmental relations. This permanent, full-time role can be conducted remotely or on-site.

In this influential position, you will report to the Manager of Legislative Affairs and support the MNC in realizing its national and international priorities. Your responsibilities include engaging in policy development and monitoring governmental processes that impact Métis communities. Building strong relationships with various stakeholders will be central to your role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop policy recommendations in legislative and international affairs
• Support initiatives across the Intergovernmental Relations Branch




• Prepare briefing materials and conduct legislative analysis
• Engage with governments and stakeholders on key issues
• Track project timelines and maintain accountability in coordination

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Familiarity with Indigenous governance and Métis priorities
• Proven skills in policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement
• Robust analytical and organization skills
• Independent worker with collaborative spirit
