Joelle’sTechnical Resources & Custom Works Inc. is seeking an experienced,organized, and safety-focused Shop Supervisor to join our teamin Timmins, Ontario.

Thisis a hands-on leadership position responsible for the overallcoordination of our shop operations, employees, fleet, equipment, and companyassets. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring safety,quality, preventive maintenance and operational readiness across theorganization.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
ShopOperations & Supervision

Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities and employees

Plan work according to operational priorities and deadlines

Monitor productivity and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and onschedule

Provide direction, coaching and support to employees and apprentices

Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop environment

Coordinate closely with Operations Manager regarding manpower, equipment and upcomingjobs

QualityControl

Oversee quality control of work completed in the shop

Inspect completed work before equipment, fabricated items or materials arereleased for field use or delivery

Ensure work meets JTR standards, drawings, specifications and applicableclient requirements

Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed

Promote consistent workmanship and continuous improvement throughout the shop

Fleet& Asset Management

Oversee the condition and readiness of JTR’s fleet, tools, equipment andother company assets

Ensure vehicles and equipment are inspected, maintained and available foroperational requirements

Track reported deficiencies and ensure repairs are properly scheduled andcompleted

Coordinate servicing and repairs with approved service providers whenrequired

Monitor the proper use and care of company vehicles,



tools and equipment

Help maintain accurate records of company assets, inspections, maintenanceand repairs

Report damaged, missing or improperly maintained company property toManagement

Manage and support JTR’s preventive maintenance program forvehicles, machinery and equipment

Monitor maintenance schedules, service intervals and upcoming inspectionrequirements

Ensure preventive maintenance is completed before equipment becomes overdue

Coordinate planned maintenance to minimize disruption to operations

Maintain appropriate maintenance records and documentation

Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective or preventivemeasures

Work with Operations to ensure equipment required for upcoming projects isinspected and ready before deployment

Safety& Compliance

Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments and required safetydocumentation

Ensure tools and equipment are safe and appropriate for use

Immediately address unsafe conditions, damaged equipment and other hazards

Report incidents, near misses, equipment damage and other concerns asrequired

QUALIFICATIONS
Theideal candidate will have:

Previous supervisory experience in an industrial, welding, fabrication,millwright, mechanical or similar environment

Robust knowledge of shop operations and industrial equipment

Experience with fleet, equipment, or asset management





Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices

Strong understanding of quality control and workmanship standards

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and changing operational requirements

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding items

Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Millwright,welding/fabrication, mechanical, CWB, mining or heavy-industrial experiencewould be considered strong assets.
