Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not being limited to, the following:

· Procure, manage and control materials, equipment and office supplies of suitable quality to meet the overall business needs on a daily basis.

· Negotiate the best possible price, quality and service guarantee.

· Ensure on-time delivery and availability of materials for production.

· Identify new and alternate suppliers, agree upon terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.

· Plan and manage all inbound transportation activities (including but not limited to freight forwarding) and monitor transportation costs.

· Forecast production requirements, keep track of current stock levels, and analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.

· Review and resolve claims against suppliers, rejects and defective materials, equipment and office supplies.

· Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, equipment and office supplies based on MRP and purchase requisitions.

· Update the computerized inventory management software with all purchases and purchase returns.

· Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices availing early payments discount where applicable.

· Establish strategic relationships with key vendors who are aligned to our needs and manage all aspects of vendor relationships.





· Continually improve purchasing methods by creating efficiencies and control through company-wide supply chain and drive down expenses.

· Work within Misys manufacturing software and Sage 300 as well as their integration at an expert level.

· Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.

· Comply with laws, regulations, ISO requirement and our internal policies including but not limited to anti-bribery and anti-corruption.

Traffic Coordinator

· Choosing the appropriate transportation company (ies) for specific loads and routes.

· Negotiate and establish rates and expected terms and conditions.

· Tracking the cargo movement throughout shipping chain.

· In conjunction with customs brokers ensure that the most advantageous tariff codes are used.

· Create a set of Timbren procedures to guide people who are accessing carriers (both in-bound and out-bound).

· Ensure all cargo is optimally insured and manage freight claims.

· Supervising and handling payments, receipts and invoices associated with cargo.

· Improve the transport performance, decrease the travel time, reducing costs and influence other environmental aspects ensuring optimal performance of transportation.

· Training and support of staff on traffic and system related needs.

Your supervisor may change your duties and responsibilities from time to time.

Salary Commensurate with experience $70k
