KGH is actively seeking a dedicated cardiac anesthesiologist to join an eight-member division. This team offers pre-operative consultations, anesthesia for cardiac surgeries, and post-operative management in the specialized Cardiac Surgery ICU. With an annual volume of 600 cardiac cases, you will also work alongside a mix of general anesthesia cases for optimal patient support. A team-oriented spirit is key as you engage in high-acuity procedures in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer anesthesia during cardiac surgeries
• Conduct pre-operative consultations and post-operative care




• Support growing TAVI program with 150 cases per year
• Engage in teaching medical students and residents
• Participate in acute pain management across specialties

Requirements:
• 12-month fellowship in cardiac anesthesia
• TEE certification from the National Board of Echocardiography
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada
• Able to handle diverse surgical call requirements
• Meet hospital's privileging criteria
