Cenovus is hiring an accomplished Wapiti Operator to join the Northern Corridor Operations team in Grande Prairie. This role includes responsibilities for data management and operational efficiency.

As a Wapiti Operator, your primary focus will be optimizing the performance of oil wells and related facilities. You will independently oversee operations, supervise contractors, and manage safety compliance. The position requires a proactive approach to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance production uptime. Solid leadership in safety is essential as you will be required to conduct hazard assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate oil wells and related compression systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues independently




• Ensure contractor compliance and supervision during tasks
• Accurately document production data and downtime
• Drive efficiency through operational systems

Requirements:
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Grade 12 diploma minimum
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of oil and gas treating is advantageous
• Class 5 driver's license with clean record
