UHN seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to animal care and welfare. This full-time role includes responsibilities in husbandry, health assessments, and treatment implementations for various laboratory species. You will work within a research-focused team, ensuring optimal living conditions for animals while fulfilling veterinary directives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Feed and manage daily care for assigned animal species
• Maintain animal housing conditions according to regulations
• Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding animal welfare




• Administer medications and keep accurate health records
• Perform microbiological sampling and other technical services

Requirements:
• Graduation from a Veterinary Technology program required
• Minimum one-year relevant experience in laboratory settings
• Experience with larger research animals is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and WHMIS trained
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and demonstrate initiative
