In this senior role, you will develop designs that support critical shaft sinking operations, working closely with the Engineering & Technical Services Manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while producing drawings promptly and accurately. Engagement in design discussions and risk management assessments will enhance project outcomes and safety measures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and produce detailed designs for mining applications
• Ensure all designs adhere to all safety codes
• Review and check works by junior designers
• Conduct research and project-relevant investigations
• Attend and contribute to technical site discussions
Requirements:
• 5 years of experience in mining-related positions required
• Preferred 10 years in shaft sinking applications
• Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technician qualification
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory compliance
• Willingness to travel for technical discussions
